There’s a good reason why it’s hard to resist a sweet treat or salty snack after 8 pm. Near the end of the day we’ve expelled so much of our energy for other purposes. Our work, our families, our personal goals. As a result, this lack of energy has a serious effect on our will power and ability to resist temptation. It’s why binge watching Netflix usually happens late into the evening.
It’s important to recognize that will power is a finite resource. We only have so much of it to use in a single day. Applying significant mental energy to a task depletes our will power and makes it challenging to take on the next difficult project. That is why scheduling your day becomes so important. By making smart choices, you can optimize your day and conserve your will power for tasks that need it the most. You can plan to work on hard projects near the beginning of your day so you can avoid procrastinating them in the afternoon. You can schedule easy tasks for later in the day when you will not need as much will power to complete them. So don’t beat yourself up over a lack of self-control. Structure your day so you can use will power to your advantage. And when you're ready, here are 2 ways I can help you: 1.
